In Memory and Solidarity 🕯️
We stand in deep mourning and solidarity with those affected, their loved ones, their caregivers, the witnesses, and everyone impacted by this terrible event.
Right now, it’s especially important that no one is left alone.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you need support: by phone, email, the contact form on our website, or through our helpline.
This attack highlights the importance of CSD demonstrations, Dyke* Marches, and Pride events. No one should have to live in fear of taking to the streets to stand up for their own rights.
In particular, we call on politicians to finally expand Article 3, Paragraph 3 of the Grundgesetz to include protection for queer people, to reverse cuts to vital queer projects and organizations such as Lambda, to expand the Violence Assistance Act (Gewalthilfegesetz), and to stand in solidarity with queer people instead of fueling the growing anti-queer rhetoric in political debates.
And: We stand together, and we will not allow ourselves to be pitted against Muslim and migrant communities—neither within the community nor outside of it.
