We are deeply concerned about the massive cuts in Berlin’s queer sector. After cuts to IPÄD, Queerformat, and Queer History Month, the Sonntags-Club is now also affected—key services such as psychosocial counseling, the Queerhome project, and the women’s and lesbian* section are facing closure.
This is happening at a time when queerphobia, misogyny, lesbophobia, racism, and anti-Semitism are noticeably on the rise. Attacks on queer people, CSDs, and queer institutions are an everyday reality. The demand for counseling, safe spaces, and education is growing – but this is exactly where cuts are being made.
These cuts are not only reckless, they are dangerous. They exacerbate isolation, mental health crises, and existential emergencies. They take away queer people’s living spaces and security.
We say clearly: this policy is irresponsible! Queer infrastructure must be strengthened – not dismantled!

We demand:
·An immediate stop to all cuts in the queer sector
·Sustainable, long-term funding for queer structures
·The preservation and expansion of education, counseling, and protection services for queer people
